When was the last time you ventured outside your comfort zone?

For me personally it's been a hot minute, since I have really pushed myself, I'm not going to lie! But I have been going over some old photos and found my solo trip I did to China to join a Feng Shui tour which prompted this blog.

Before the trip, I lived with massive anxiety and panic attacks for as long as I could remember and never in a million years would I have imagined myself flying across the world on my own. But just after my marriage ended in 2016, I attended a Feng Shui conference and overheard colleagues chatting about a Feng Shui Tour that was going to be held in China at the end of 2017. As soon as I heard about the tour, I knew I needed to somehow find the courage within me to go.

WOW is all I can say! I'm so grateful to have had this amazing experience with a small tour group with the same passion of Feng Shui as myself. The culture, people, food and and places I visited hold a very special place in my heart. A couple of city's we travelled to was Yangshuo & Langzhong. My favourite was staying at a gorgeous little place on the banks of Yangshuo River, studying the landforms - the place was magical!

What I realised looking over these photos is the personal growth I experienced by putting myself in a situation I was initially very unsure of which was life changing. I truely believe I wouldn't be the person I am today if I didn't go on that adventure! It really showed me that I am capable of doing whatever I put my mind to. I returned home and applied for my accreditation with the AFSC the same year, another push myself out of that comfort zone.

I have always had a love for Feng Shui, and this trip reinforced that love and passion and allowed me to continue to grow, developing my skills. I am grateful that I am working full time as an Accredited Feng Shui consultant and being recognised as a professional within the Feng Shui industry.

Have you had a life changing adventure? If not I encourage you to go for it, your future self will be so grateful you did!
